So this year I have done so much! I have achieved so much, I have met so many. What a year for me! What a year for my Photography!!!

I started the New year dancing Bollywood style in Delhi when I visited Nepal and India. I captured some amazing images. I was awarded well for those images winning myself 3 GOLD awards and 2 Silver Awards for my travel images. I graduated as Top academic in my class for 2010 – Cert IV in Photoimaging, I was awarded as NSW student of the year by the AIPP. I took the footage both stills and video for what is Kristian Jacksons first video clip, which you can view here - Its pretty good :) and was all done in our home town on Penrith! Which taught us just how lucky we were to grow up in a pretty cool area! We both really got a shock at how pretty and also how many places just said “Penrith” to us! We have quite a few Icons!

I have photographed lots of wonderful families too. If you want to see a quick selection of the images I have taken this year while listening to some fabulous music hit play here!

SO I have had an amazing year for which I am thankful, and am ready to keep it all going for 2012! I hope to meet lots more families and of course catch up with all the families I already know!

I hope 2011 was as good for you as it was for me! and Of course I wish your family and friends a safe and fun holiday! Enjoy, Indulge and laugh!!!! and of course take PHOTOS!!!

Thanks for stopping by

A few months ago I spent a drizzly morning with Jenna, Daniel and their gorgeous daughter strolling around their neighbourhood. The aim was to get photos for all of their family and their daughters God parents for Christmas, which is why I am blogging now! We had to keep the images a secret so everyone got a wonderful Christmas surprise! Now that all the gifts would have been delivered I thought I’d share a few of my favourites.

Jenna and Daniel I really hope your family loved the images you selected for them, I know how hard it was to narrow down! Thanks so much for choosing me to capture your Beautiful family, I can’t wait to catch up and shoot you again! ;)

Today I spent a lovely afternoon with Eliza and her mummy Michelle! Eliza arrived into the world only 5 days ago! She was just precious and the perfect model for all the gorgeous new hats I have purchased recently and have been busting to share with you all!

I don’t think I need to many words to accompany this post – Miss Eliza did a wonderful job of modelling for me and will hopefully help spread the word that Newborn photography is a wonderful gift for all new parents. These images are priceless and just the most wonderful thing that will be treasured for years to come! If you’d like or know someone who’d be interested in booking in a newborn session please get in touch!

The Hats were by Ashliegh Carlson – if your interested I can give you her contact details.

Thanks to Michelle for being so patient today and letting me borrow her gorgeous little girl to model for us!

I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas, stay safe, play nice, and enjoy your family and friends! I’ll be back in January, If you are after a last minute present and would like to purchase a voucher for Custom Portraiture I still have a few available.

A few months ago I photographed a very cute little boy, who’s very clever mummy made him a whole range of hats for his photoshoot! At the time I told his mum I’d need some of these hats for myself! ( for photo shoots of course although some I’d wear myself :) ) Tonight I am finally taking delivery of my first order! So to show them off I am looking for a teeny tiny little baby to model for me! Baby can be a boy or a girl but should be less than 10 days old this Saturday when I’d like to do the shoot!

If you have a brand new baby or know someone who has and is interested please get in touch – kirsten {at} kirstenflavell.com.au. I am also happy to hear from anyone who is due to have a baby in January – as a back up incase I can’t find a baby for this weekend!

In return for your generousity I would like to offer you a Matted 8×12 inch print and 5 digital negatives. I will need a signed model release giving me permission to use the images for promotional purposes. I will be blogging the images so you can share the link with your family and friends which of course is a great way for you to introduce your gorgeous little bundle to everyone! Of course I will also be happy to take a few family portrait while I am there!

Here is an example of what you can expect!

Please share this link with your family and friends by clicking on the blue “F” below to let them know about this special offer!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
