Saturday Afternoon at Glenbrook Lagoon | Blue Mountains Photographer
I have been stuck in the house since Tuesday with a sick little boy so I actually enjoyed going shopping today, which is something I normally HATE! Then this afternoon my older two allowed me to photograph them…. oh the privilege. I got some lovely shots and can finally start putting their birthday albums together. I make an album each year for their birthdays as a keep sake. This year we have been really busy and had lots of illness so it has been a month since my daughters birthday, better late than never though. And taking a look at the photos I can say that the wait was worth it!!!
Here are a few of my favourites! I have even been promised that we can get some more shots tomorrow…. I’d like to say my children love doing things that make their Mum happy but truth is…. while shopping today I might have got some info on updating our game console after a miserable night on our very old play station! and ummm well unless I get the birthday albums well all you parents out there know the rest of the story…hehehheheheh!!!! Some mums would want breakfast in bed… I want subjects to photograph!

I have my wine poured and feel great that I got to get out today and even better my camera came out of it’s bag!!! 4 days in a bag is a long time for this photo crazy lady…..
Hope everyone enjoys their weekend!!!

Day of Sunshine | Blue Mountains Photographer
It has been so wet lately that it is near impossible to sit and concentrate at the computer without going outside. So I took my camera out and my little ones favourite Bubbles! and I managed to grab a few images of each of my three. Always exciting when I get time to photograph my own babies! Although it is getting harder each day to capture Mr 13 as you can tell by his photo! lol! oh well I still got one and it is him as he is now…..

Hope everyone else is having a relaxing weekend and making the most of the wonderful winter sunshine!
Don’t forget all the special offers I have at the moment! Look forward to hearing from you soon!

Bubbles and Laughs! | Blue Mountains Photographer
I finally took my little one out today to play with bubbles. We bought them ages ago and after putting them up out of the way forgot about them, until today when I was clearing out my space and I came across them. Bubbles are so much fun I don’t thing there is anyone that does not crack a smile when a child chases bubbles!
I went overboard on images to blog as I can’t choose which ones not to share…. So much fun! even seeing these he was in hysterics!

How cute is he? even after he was attacked by a thorn bush! I could have Photoshopped that out but I think it is all part of childhood! So I want to remember that!
Ok off to cook a few meals to get us through the week! School is back!!!! One day left of holidays and then its back to lunches and homework!, early rises and uniforms!!! Blah countdown til the October Holidays I think!!!!
thanks for stopping by!

My Birthday Girl | Blue Mountains Photographer
I like to put an album together each year of my children. It’s a lovely idea that I do each year around their birthday. This way I remember when it’s time to do their album and it is my little extra gift to them, where they get to spend a day being pampered by Mum. This year I attempted to do this while on our little Down South break. It was not so successful so we have some time put aside next week just Lou and I. All she wanted was for me to hurry so she did not miss out on what Mark was doing with the boys ( he was just playing with them to keep them out of our way? ) Anyway I managed a few so thought I’d share a couple here!

I can not believe how fast time flies!
I have also updated my prices tab and the special offers to include a special package I have put together for Newborn sessions. If you are pregnant at the moment or know someone that is please take a look! It is such a gorgeous time to capture your baby and those first moments of babies life. I have a studio set up in my home especially for newborns, which together with a few props we can create a custom set of images for you to cherish forever! It is best to book in your session as soon as you can as we need the session to be as flexible as possible. The way I take bookings for newborns is just around the time of expected birth? that way if they arrive early or a little late, as you are pencilled in I can be flexible with the time slots knowing I am expecting you! The package has been put together to include 20 copies of your favourite image so you can hand them out to everyone without leaving yourself without a copy! Perfect for popping in with your thank you card, to all those that spoil your little one when he arrives! There are a few examples of my Newborn work here! Go and check it out… no one can resist a newborn!
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Miss A is turning 2! | Blue Mountains Children’s Photographer
On Saturday morning I met with Alison and Miss A, who will soon be turning two! and her Grand parents. You may remember Miss A from the first birthday shoot!. This little one is just so cute! and she still loves to sing! Loves flowers and has a special game she plays with Mummy and Grandma where they make a fairy circle to dance in! Of course we made one for the photo shot!
Here are a few from the weekend! amazing how fast they grow! It is so lovely to be having so many repeat clients and getting to see my little one grow!

This one I thought I’d try something a little different with my processing!

There was another reason I was excited to hold this session at this location and that is because Miss A’s Aunty Beth is getting married in September and this is where the girls will be getting ready!
Thank you to Alison, Peta and Chris for having me early on a saturday morning! I hope you enjoy your sneak peek, I’ll be in contact when your images are ready to view!
Thanks to everyone else for stopping by! have a great week!
Master R’s 1st Birthday Cake Smash! | Blue Mountains Photographer
Today I had the pleasure of photographing Master R for the 4th time! He just gets cuter every time! His smile gets bigger, he laughs more and is really getting good at looking right into the camera for me..
He will be turing 1 soon, which I just can’t believe, so no idea how his Mum, Dad and big brother are getting their head around how fast he is growing.
He loved his cake! as you’ll see when you take a look at a few of his images. We are goind to put an album together celebrating Master R’s first year! I can’t wait to see it put together. We have one more shoot to do before that though a family shoot so we can get a BIG wall canvas which is something Master R’s dad has wanted since my first visit back when we did a newborn session!
OK here are a few images!
Look how cute he is!!!
Then off came the good clothes ready for MESS!!!!! and he got straight into it….

He soon worked out what the smarties were and picked them off!

What fun! If you are interested in a cake smash let me know. These are great for babies turning 1 or 2, and if you want to use one of the images for the invitation then best to organise the Cake Smash session at least 4 weeks prior to the Party date!
Ok some business…. I have one more session booked in before the start of school holidays then I am taking a well deserved break. I have a break from College after I have done one more exam – I am counting down! I am very proud of my results but really looking forward to taking some time off with the kids! So I will be back to work on the 23rd of July for studio sessions and the 24th for location sessions! I am booked out in September – so all of those who are waiting for warmer weather please contact me soon. Christmas will be here before we know it. I have a few sessions available in October and November, which will be a busy time for me as my course will be finishing up. So if you want to book in like I said please do so soon as there will be limited places. I do have plenty of space in August at this stage!
Hope you all enjoyed the images! We had a ball doing this session! Hope little Master R does not have a tummy ache!
Thanks for stopping by! have a great weekend!

My Baby Boy | Blue Mountains Children Photographer
Since becoming a full time student I have really been aware that I am not taking as many photos of my children. Today only one was willing so I took advantage. I am so lucky this little man loves having his photo taken. He often sets himself up and instructs me to ” take photo” . Here he is on a relaxing Sunday at home!

Hope everyone else is relaxing! I have plenty I should be doing but finding it hard to get on with it…

Black and White | Blue Mountains Photography
I looked at my files for March and found that I have 3 edits for my family. Not like me at all. So I dragged miss L outside to attempt to increase my numbers. I managed one! She was not in the mood, I got bitten and it started raining. So now I have 4 photos in my March folder? Will have to try again tomorrow.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! I have gotten so much done today work wise – certainly not house work wise! Opps…

Family with a view! | Blue Mountains family Photographer
Yesterday I finally got to meet up with Brett, Kerri-ann and their two gorgeous girls. This session has been re-scheduled three times due to rain so we were relieved to see a dry day! The conditions were fantastic for photo taking actually. Cloudy yet so green due to all the rain we’ve had.
Kerri-ann organised this session through the Fundraising I have organised with Kachan School of Tumbling and Performance!
Here are just a few to tie you over til I get the gallery ready!

I had a fantastic day with you! a breathtaking location! and two super stunning girls! parents who are so in love. A truly gorgeous family! Thank you! for letting me capture memories for you to treasure forever!

New Toys | Blue Mountains Photographer
My new light meter turned up yesterday. The weather here is rain, rain and more rain but, as I was busting to use it we went out on the front verandah ( so that there was some light to meter!) I am learning so many new ways to use my camera and loving it. To take this photo I set a custom white balance in the camera with my fancy spring out 18% grey card then used my meter to measure the light and walllaaahhh!!! a perfectly exposed and colour balanced image. Of course I then put my new learned Black and white conversion to practice. The camera was set to f1.2 my favourite place to be!!! For a miserable, wet, dark day I am fairly happy with the result.
I am meant to be doing two sessions tomorrow. I have a feeling I may be down to one. One is a Baptism so no changing the date on that one. The other, well a session that we were hoping for third time lucky but not so sure. Rain is going to be an issue again I think. Fingers crossed it clears.

I have come back to add another!

Thanks for stopping by hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
