Baby R’s Family | Blue Mountains Family Photographer
Today as promised I have a few photos to share. Yesterday I met little Master R, today I got to meet his big brothers! We had a lovely afternoon playing and doing the things 8 Year old boys like to do! They took it in turns showing me how well they could ride their scooters and ribstick, then we moved on to ball skills! They like to play football and soccer so we did both! Then we went inside to get a few of Baby R in his nursery! before we updated the family portrait, we ended with a funny shot that we knew the boys would be keen to be in!
I love Lifestyle shoots where I get to hang out with the family capturing their everyday life. Life in that relaxed mode that you can only capture at home! Here are a few of my favourite shots! I look forward to meeting with Angela on Friday when she is going to pick out an image to use as Baby R’s announcement! And I can’t wait to start designing their coffee table book!

And lastly the completed family having some fun!

I hope everyone is having a great weekend! And making the most of the glorious weather we are having! I will be back next weekend with some Wedding photos!
Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Sessions!! |Blue Mountains Photographer
So its time to book your Christmas session! Can you believe Christmas has come so quickly? Well technically we still have plenty of time if we plan well. See having the session means I have the files but you can’t very well give them as a gift. So we need to have all sessions finished by the 23rd of October so that we have plenty of time to get prints ordered and albums designed, as well as giving the framer time to frame the beautiful prints you give to your loved ones as Christmas Gifts! So heres how Christmas sessions will work this year!
Sessions will be held in October you have a choice of 4 dates – 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd. Orders will have to be placed and paid for by the 6th of November 2010 so that I can promise Christmas delivery.
Each session comes with 10 5×7 prints and 2 8×10 prints. These sessions are valued at $695 but as a Christmas special they will cost you only $275, that is a savings of $420!!!! There is also the chance to grab some fantastic bonuses. See the image below for details.
There is no limit on how many families you can have at your session, as each family pays $275 and each family gets there own set of prints. So a great time to get the extended family together and get some great Christmas Gifts for the grandparents. There is even the chance to get the Grandparents an Album as a bonus gift!!!!
The Booking fee of $275 per family is payable within 7 days of booking, and due to the time of year and the discounts being offered I can not hold session times if the booking fee is not paid. You can hold your session within a 1/2 an hour drive of The Lower Blue Mountains, if you have a group of 3 or more families then you can choose your location up to 2 hours drive of The Lower Blue Mountains.

So get the family together and book your session,
Look forward to hearing from you soon!

A Mini Break! Blue Mountains Photographer
I took a little trip down south this week with my children! We had a lovely relaxing time, just hanging out at the beach and the indoor pool! We fit a trip in to the Zoo while Mark was with us over the weekend too. I got some great shots of the Giraffe again and a little family of Monkeys. The baby was so cute!

I also got a few of my own children, which is always a treat for me! Love school holidays for just this reason! Can you believe in the middle of winter they actually swam in the ocean???? Crazy!!!

We had a lovely time, and now it is time to get ready for the back to school routine… I will miss these holidays they have been so relaxing!
I did spend a little time doddling in my note book and over the next couple of days have a few new releases to announce! A little hint is for October Christmas sessions! I will be putting 4 weekends aside in October to hold special Christmas sessions. There will be a choice of THREE bonus offers and each session comes with included images so start organising the family October is Christmas Photo month at Kirsten Flavell Photography!.
Thanks for dropping by! I’ll be back tomorrow with a big release!!!

Family by the sea! | Blue Mountains Location photographer
Recently on a road trip up to the Great Barrier Reef I had the pleasure of stopping off at Redcliffe to photograph Ellen, Danny and their family! It was a gorgeous day except for the wind, which of course was exaggerated due to being on the coast! We spent the afternoon Keeping Master 3 interested with Footballs and walks along the beach, even a change of outfits.. This family is football mad – Their priness had a gorgeous little outfit made by her Nan – her very own custom made football cheer uniform!
Here are a few from the afternoon! More to follow! should have your gallery ready next week Ellen and Danny, I know are keen to see these so enjoy!

Thanks for spending the afternoon with me and giving us a few directions for our long road trip! catch you next time we are in Brisbane or you come down to Sydney!!!

Family with a view! | Blue Mountains family Photographer
Yesterday I finally got to meet up with Brett, Kerri-ann and their two gorgeous girls. This session has been re-scheduled three times due to rain so we were relieved to see a dry day! The conditions were fantastic for photo taking actually. Cloudy yet so green due to all the rain we’ve had.
Kerri-ann organised this session through the Fundraising I have organised with Kachan School of Tumbling and Performance!
Here are just a few to tie you over til I get the gallery ready!

I had a fantastic day with you! a breathtaking location! and two super stunning girls! parents who are so in love. A truly gorgeous family! Thank you! for letting me capture memories for you to treasure forever!

Celebrating a new life! | Blue Mountains Family photographer
Today I had the honour of witnessing a family welcome the newest member of their family. Little Master M was Baptised today and the family invited me along to capture some wonderful memories. I have a few photos ready for them to see, The rest will be about 2 weeks, and I know there are some very excited people waiting for them, so I will do my best to get them ready quickly.

We were worried it was going to be raining. Instead we had to find ways to keep cool. The Men did very well to wear their jackets! This weather is crazy! This means that the session that has been rescheduled 3 times was also done today! I will be back with the Johnston’s session sneak peek in the morning! We had a wonderful morning in the bush today with some fabulous views!
Thank you again for having me today, I hope these moments we captured today are everything you hoped for!
Have a great time at the reception and I will speak to you all soon!

More of little Master L | Blue Mountains Newborns photographer
I have almost finished all of Master L’s images! Oh there are so many! As strange as it may seem the light on cloudy days is just wonderful for taking photos. We were lucky to have a shoot on such a day, where the windows were large enough to let all that wonderful light in! As a result I have one huge gallery to show L’s mum and dad! Here are a few more to keep you going til we can get together and you can see the whole gallery – I’ll be in touch to organise a time with you soon!
Who doesn’t like baby feet?

Or a baby yawn?

one that we managed to get while the rain had a break! How fantastic is the tree in there back yard. In a few years I will be taking photos of Bigger Master L climbing in this tree!

I hope everyone had a fantastic week and of course the weekend is good to you all! We may have our first rain free weekend for a while. I hope so I have a shoot tomorrow that the rain has cancelled twice!

Little Master L | Blue Mountains Newborn Photographer
I was so lucky today that Master L’s Mummy and Daddy wanted to go ahead with this little one’s new born session. The weather in Sydney is extremely wet and today was no exception. I rang them this morning expecting them wanting to reschedule as they had requested an outdoor session as they live on a beautiful property. When I first got out there the rain was having a break so we took the opportunity to capture a few shots out doors. Then when the rain started up again we moved inside. Thankfully Little L is lucky enough to have a bright room!
Here are just a few! Great to meet you today Lisa and James, Congratulations on your gorgeous little boy! He is a joy!

hehehe!! no one can resist baby feet now add a little bitty backside and bliss!!! This is just too cute!

I will be in touch Lisa and James once your gallery is ready to make the appointment to view your images! Thanks again for a wonderful afternoon! I bet Little L sleeps well tonight!

POTD 31 | Blue Mountains Photographer
My boys make my favourite photo again today, and one of my daughter by herself, although I would have been happier with hers if she was not eating lollies! but it is sunday afternoon and we had been to Leura, we never seem to be able to go to Leura without a visit to the lollie shop – so today is 2 POTD!

Tomorrow I am hoping to take the kids to the Museum so will be back with a shot or two tomorrow!!!
Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend. Family movie night – 17 Again with popcorn!!
If you know of anyone who I have not photographed who has a 6 month old baby? well actually I am after a baby that can sit but not yet crawl! I would love to photograph them for my portfolio. No session fee and a bonus 8×10 in return for a signed released so the images can be used in my portfolio! would love to hear from both boys and girls. Would like 3 babies! Thanks

POTD 30 | Blue Mountains Photographer
I headed into town again today, to purchase my new camera bag!! WOW is it heavy with everything in it I want to carry around. But WOW is it fantastic having a bag I can cart my 70-200mm 2.8 Lens in that is easier to carry than my other bag, and more appropriate for day trips to the beach! Then we headed to the beach! And I made sure I used the 70-200! If I was super strict and only posted one photo a day this would be it. I was pretty excited to see this as it loaded onto my computer screen. My two boys. They have such a wonderful relationship. I love capturing them together!

But because I am not strict here are a few more!

and you can’t go to the beach without having an ice cream! and when you are 3 you can’t eat an ice cream in summer without ahhhh making a great big mess! He was quite proud of his mess. Even now we are home and he has seen the photo!

Tomorrow we are headed out in the opposite direction – up the mountains to the beautiful Leura so I hope to capture some more beautiful images!
Oh we visited our travel agent this morning and are waiting on the details for a Day dream island holiday!!!! I am getting excited about it all now – glad to leave the details and organising to someone else! So again if you are interested in a session in April and you leave between the Blue Mountains and Daydream Island let me know!
Thanks for stopping by I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend!
