Session Albums
I put two gorgeous Albums together this weekend and I thought I’d blog them as the colours are pretty special. Tanya chose ( well actually her 3 year old chose) a bright pink Fuchsia Linen and Joanne chose a Purple gold Japanese Asahi! How fabulous do they look!

A busy week ahead for me with two sessions next weekend! Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Me Week 8 | Blue mountains photographer
This is late late late!!! Oh well it is here. I am handing this one in as my assignment! ( I think – it is the 3rd one I have decided I am handing in so we’ll see, a lot can change in a week!!)

Right now back to work I have one out of 3 albums ready! Lots to do!!!
I have a small announcement too – due to the amount of work I have taken on studying full time I am reducing the number of sessions I offer. At this stage I will do 2 a month. I have 2 available in May and am now taking bookings in August and September. So if you want a session you really do need to book well in advance. I only have 2 appointments where the vouchers will be valid so please if you have a voucher and want to use this contact me as soon as you can! I also have one available in Brisbane in April. March, June and July are booked out
Thanks for stopping by! I hope to hear from you soon!

My sons wall art!
I have not posted photos of my sons visit to the zoo! I made up 8×8 inch square mounts for my sons room! There are 9 – 8 animals all around him! He loves it and refers to them as his animals.

I have no shoots this weekend but will be spending the weekend putting together clients orders and designing a coffee table book for Master L’s parents! I also hope to make a big dent in the numerous assignments I have for my course! I have something like 17 photos to take all with a different brief – I am going to be so busy. My imagination is running wild and I am madly jotting down my ideas and trying to work out how to capture them! I am excited as 7 of them are to be captured on film!!!!! I have not used film since I was in school so I am very excited about getting in the dark room! So I may be back on Monday with a few shots I catch over the weekend!
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

New products | Blue Mountains Photographer
I spent today picking up and then drooling over my new products!!! I am introducing a variation to my albums and a new way to store loose prints!
So first up the coffee Table book. These are such a gorgeous product you will have to see them to appreciate the quality, but here is an idea!
They come in a Red or Black slip cover.

And then have a dust cover that is custom designed using photos from your session, this matches the cover of the book, but also has a inside sleeve that can have photos or a description.

These are the portrait box. Again the box is designed using images from your session, printed on silk. In the box you will receive a print of each image at 5×4 inches, with plenty of room for you to add more if you like. They hold up to 300 prints! I have done one for my family containing all the photos I took over the summer holidays! The other is for Rebecca and James and it holds 300 images from there wedding!

And here they are sitting on a shelf! Aren’t they gorgeous! I love the idea of the image box as actually holding the prints and flicking through them is just a wonderful way to view images! I did this with my nan last year when I went to visit her and watching the memories pop back into her head as she described who everyone was, was a memory I will hold forever. And once she told me who they were and a little story about them or what they were doing in the picture she’d pass them on to me to hold. I think we all have such a strong relationship with images and its a shame that we don’t print them out and pass them around like we used to! So that is my aim to provide you with some great images and a box that leaves space for you to add more of your own images to! To provide you memories to share with your family for years and years and one day be passed on to the next generation!

I’m going to be late agin with my self portrait but I will do one! Probably in class on Thursday again!
Thanks for stopping by if you are interested in holding a session so that we can organise one of these Fabulous new products please contact me!

More of little Master L | Blue Mountains Newborns photographer
I have almost finished all of Master L’s images! Oh there are so many! As strange as it may seem the light on cloudy days is just wonderful for taking photos. We were lucky to have a shoot on such a day, where the windows were large enough to let all that wonderful light in! As a result I have one huge gallery to show L’s mum and dad! Here are a few more to keep you going til we can get together and you can see the whole gallery – I’ll be in touch to organise a time with you soon!
Who doesn’t like baby feet?

Or a baby yawn?

one that we managed to get while the rain had a break! How fantastic is the tree in there back yard. In a few years I will be taking photos of Bigger Master L climbing in this tree!

I hope everyone had a fantastic week and of course the weekend is good to you all! We may have our first rain free weekend for a while. I hope so I have a shoot tomorrow that the rain has cancelled twice!

Me Week 7 | Blue Mountains Photographer
Ok so I am a few days late with my self portrait. I have been sick! I also knew that I had to be in the studio doing my first assessment of the year, which you guessed it is a …… self portrait. SO I figured i’d do the two at once. Of course this is going to get a little spark before it is ready to hand in. But for today it is my self portrait for week 7!
I have also put in a 20×25 print to be framed today – I can’t wait to get it back!! it is going to look amazing! It is being matted with a Linen mat, double mat of course and the frame is going to be just fabulous. Down side wont be ready for at least 3 weeks! I am sure it will be worth the wait but seriously…. hard to wait!!!
Ok here I am. I used a Tungsten light behind me, to my left, on a white paper background, Camera high above me angled down on f1.6. I had a little help getting the focus in the right place today as the set up was fairly difficult.

Back to work on Little master L’s gallery tomorrow and hopefully a photo session with Two teen girls and their Mum and Dad on Saturday! this is the third time this session has been scheduled. So lets hope third time lucky! and the rain stays away!
Hope you all had a great week!

Little Master L | Blue Mountains Newborn Photographer
I was so lucky today that Master L’s Mummy and Daddy wanted to go ahead with this little one’s new born session. The weather in Sydney is extremely wet and today was no exception. I rang them this morning expecting them wanting to reschedule as they had requested an outdoor session as they live on a beautiful property. When I first got out there the rain was having a break so we took the opportunity to capture a few shots out doors. Then when the rain started up again we moved inside. Thankfully Little L is lucky enough to have a bright room!
Here are just a few! Great to meet you today Lisa and James, Congratulations on your gorgeous little boy! He is a joy!

hehehe!! no one can resist baby feet now add a little bitty backside and bliss!!! This is just too cute!

I will be in touch Lisa and James once your gallery is ready to make the appointment to view your images! Thanks again for a wonderful afternoon! I bet Little L sleeps well tonight!

back to school! | Blue Mountains Photographer
My little one and I started school this week. Just like I do to my children, I had my photo taken on my first day with the little man!

Well I survived my first week! I loved it!!!!!! So much to learn, so much to experience, so much to do!! I am going to be one busy busy mummy! I think I will spend all day in bed tomorrow though or maybe join the little man on the lounge watching TV! We are both so exhausted.
I ( weather permitting ) will be photographing a 1 week old baby on Saturday! So I have my fingers crossed for a dry weekend. For now though I am off to have a glass of wine before I commence my 1 week sleep!! Hope everyone is well!

Me Week 6 | Blue Mountains Photographer
Well here I am again! Week 6 – as requested by Jo I am smiling! I took Jo’s photos in December and she would not believe me when I told her how lovely she looked when she was smiling! I have a feeling that is why she requested a photo of me smiling. OK she right I think I look awful smiling! Just as she felt about her! But after all this challenge is so that I know how it feels to see myself in photos – So there Jo – Me smiling… and I hate it..
Cam took this photo of me on Friday night when we were at Coogee. It was darker than when I was taking their photos so the sky is not as blue he did a good job though to capture this in the dark. Taken at f1.2.

I start school tomorrow! Looking forward to it, but also having a hard time thinking about everything I will have to fit in around being a full time student… Oh well better go pack my lunch box!
You may have noticed that I have added a ” Gift Shop” to my website! I have not put anything in the Gift shop yet but I will soon. I collected my flower prints today so they will be my first addition once they are framed, I also have the animal collection for the children to put up! So I will work on getting that done!

Surprising afternoon| Blue Mountains Photographer
On Friday after school pick up I headed down to the city to collect a print order that was ready. The traffic was horrendous and we got there about 4 minutes after the lab closed….
I decided since we had travelled down there and it was a Friday night we’d do something fun! So we headed over to Coogee where we had fish and chips on the beach after the sun had gone done and before a big storm came through. It was so dark and blue! It was a very strange light so of course I got my camera out and captured some amazing photos. I have done nothing to the colours when processing these photos – this is how they were SOOC ( Straight out of Camera ) Once I showed the kids the colours in these on the LCD display they happily posed away! How fantastic is this sky?????????

I got home so excited to get these shots up only to find our Modem had died! today we went and bought a new one. and WOW at the speed of this new one!!!
Due to the weather I did not get to do the shoot I had booked for yesterday – hopefully the weather will behave in two weeks when we have it rescheduled for. Next weekend I am photographing a little baby boy who was born on Saturday! So keep an eye out for newborn loveliness next week! Weather permitting. He lives on a large block of land so the session is going to be held outdoors.
Thanks for stopping by!
