Family by the sea! | Blue Mountains Location photographer
Recently on a road trip up to the Great Barrier Reef I had the pleasure of stopping off at Redcliffe to photograph Ellen, Danny and their family! It was a gorgeous day except for the wind, which of course was exaggerated due to being on the coast! We spent the afternoon Keeping Master 3 interested with Footballs and walks along the beach, even a change of outfits.. This family is football mad – Their priness had a gorgeous little outfit made by her Nan – her very own custom made football cheer uniform!
Here are a few from the afternoon! More to follow! should have your gallery ready next week Ellen and Danny, I know are keen to see these so enjoy!

Thanks for spending the afternoon with me and giving us a few directions for our long road trip! catch you next time we are in Brisbane or you come down to Sydney!!!
I have a few sessions available in May if you are interested please contact me here, June is booked out at this stage!

Family with a view! | Blue Mountains family Photographer
Yesterday I finally got to meet up with Brett, Kerri-ann and their two gorgeous girls. This session has been re-scheduled three times due to rain so we were relieved to see a dry day! The conditions were fantastic for photo taking actually. Cloudy yet so green due to all the rain we’ve had.
Kerri-ann organised this session through the Fundraising I have organised with Kachan School of Tumbling and Performance!
Here are just a few to tie you over til I get the gallery ready!

I had a fantastic day with you! a breathtaking location! and two super stunning girls! parents who are so in love. A truly gorgeous family! Thank you! for letting me capture memories for you to treasure forever!

Celebrating a new life! | Blue Mountains Family photographer
Today I had the honour of witnessing a family welcome the newest member of their family. Little Master M was Baptised today and the family invited me along to capture some wonderful memories. I have a few photos ready for them to see, The rest will be about 2 weeks, and I know there are some very excited people waiting for them, so I will do my best to get them ready quickly.

We were worried it was going to be raining. Instead we had to find ways to keep cool. The Men did very well to wear their jackets! This weather is crazy! This means that the session that has been rescheduled 3 times was also done today! I will be back with the Johnston’s session sneak peek in the morning! We had a wonderful morning in the bush today with some fabulous views!
Thank you again for having me today, I hope these moments we captured today are everything you hoped for!
Have a great time at the reception and I will speak to you all soon!

We walked a little further down stream than I have before. By the way the stream I talk of is a dry creek bed at the moment – no water in it but you know that in wetter times there would be! As we came around a bend in the creek the view of the train bridge all lit up by the setting sun was beautiful! I knew it would make the most gorgeous back drop for these two lovely girls! And I was right. It is fabulous! Guess who’s kids are going to be dragged back down to this spot in the late afternoon in the next few weeks!!!!

Here is one of Fred! the families much loved 4 legged friend

One of Daddy and his girls! I love this photo!

And who does not love seeing a couple laugh?? I find most shoots I do I have to talk the parents into having a photo together. As parents we get so pre occupied of getting photos of our children, BUT it is so nice to have photos of us as the parents together. Truth is you take photos of your kids all the time and photos of one parent with the kids – If you looked through your photos I think there is a good chance that photos of the whole family and photos of just the parents are the ones you’ll have trouble finding. So I always try and talk the parents into having a photo together. Added bonus if the couple look happy in it!

Ok busy afternoon ahead for me! I have put up a special offer on my facebook page that is only valid for fans! head on over to see if you are interested! First 5 emails I receive will get the special offer!!!
Thanks for stopping by!

Lyndahl and Paul’s sneak peek | Blue Mountains Family photographer
Today I had a fun shoot with Lyndahl, Paul and their 2 gorgeous little girls. The aim was to update the family portraits now little Miss A has joined their family, they wanted relaxed, fun images to reflect their lifestyle. I find lots of families are worried about getting the family portraits updated as they think it is going to be a long stressful process. The secret to my style is to capture children as they are, who they are, So I always recommend that parents bring their childrens favourite toy and I always get the little ones to be my helpers. Today Little Miss C had to help me a few times to show her Daddy how to keep his eyes open and look into the camera! She got to check on my LCD screen to make sure I was capturing moments that she liked. When I took photos of her face pulling she came to make sure it looked right. Thankfully it did! Most people leave my sessions telling me how much fun it was – just as Lyndahl and Paul did today. I find that getting the children involved and letting them tell me the type of photos they would like gets them to co-operate wonderfully. Oh and I have 3 children so I know a quick session is a great session and once they have finished session is over! Much easier to work with children then the other way around. Miss C also told me what a fun time she had, so I promised her I’d put a photo up of her on her computer so here it is!

Thank you for meeting with me today Lyndahl and Paul I will have the rest of your Images ready by Wednesday as I know these are Christmas presents. If anyone else would like a print of their images let me know this week my last order for the year is going in on Thursday! They make a great last minute Christmas present if you are like me and have not started shopping yet!
This was my last session for the year, I have the two competition winners shoots over the next two weeks and after that will be starting up work again on the 16.01.2010! So please contact me if you are wanting a newborn session over the Christmas Break.
Carolyn and Matt { Blue Mountains Photographer }
This evenings shoot was fantastic! The light was gorgeous! It was a little windy and we thought we may get caught in a storm but no, we stayed dry and warm…..
I got there a little early to have a look around for some good spots to take photos. While I was there I took a few location shots. These are especially for Carolyn and Matts little Man A! He loved the ducks – as all little ones do!

Here is one of the very special Carolyn! She is a very determined woman and we took a variety of shots today- some in her Chair some out! The chair is a big part of her life but as she soon hopes to be rid of it, it was nice to see her out of it! Carolyn is my Web designer and friend so it means a lot to see her get closer and closer to her dream of walking again. I love these shots of her!

This is her and Matt, this is one that when Mater A saw it in the view finder he let out a big “oooohhhhh” then he told me he thinks his mum and dad will like this one.

Thanks for a lovely afternoon! will let you know when your gallery is ready! I know you are eager to have your Canvas mounts on the wall!!!
If anyone wants to contact Carolyn in regard to Web site design or Custom blogs she can be contacted here! I can vouch for her work! Both my website and blog were designed by her!
I am off to the Kachan School of Tumbling tomorrow with my displays! So if you are going I’ll see you there!
Hope you are all having a great weekend! I am off to watch a movie with the family and eat ice cream!
