Baby R’s Family | Blue Mountains Family Photographer

Today as promised I have a few photos to share. Yesterday I met little Master R, today I got to meet his big brothers! We had a lovely afternoon playing and doing the things 8 Year old boys like to do! They took it in turns showing me how well they could ride their scooters and ribstick, then we moved on to ball skills! They like to play football and soccer so we did both! Then we went inside to get a few of Baby R in his nursery! before we updated the family portrait, we ended with a funny shot that we knew the boys would be keen to be in!
I love Lifestyle shoots where I get to hang out with the family capturing their everyday life. Life in that relaxed mode that you can only capture at home! Here are a few of my favourite shots! I look forward to meeting with Angela on Friday when she is going to pick out an image to use as Baby R’s announcement! And I can’t wait to start designing their coffee table book!

Family with a view! | Blue Mountains family Photographer

Yesterday I finally got to meet up with Brett, Kerri-ann and their two gorgeous girls. This session has been re-scheduled three times due to rain so we were relieved to see a dry day! The conditions were fantastic for photo taking actually. Cloudy yet so green due to all the rain we’ve had.

Kerri-ann organised this session through the Fundraising I have organised with Kachan School of Tumbling and Performance!

Here are just a few to tie you over til I get the gallery ready!

Jo, Darrell and their girls – Sneak Peek | Blue Mountains Photographer – Families

Wow two posts in one day.

I spent the afternoon going on a little bush walk with one of the winners of my December Sessions. Jo was a very nervous so I am hoping that by posting her photo first she calms down and realises just how wonderful it is to have photos with our loved ones. Time passes so quickly our children grow so fast and before we know it is has been years since we have a photo of us with our family. I know in every family there is always one who takes the photo – in my family it is me obviously but I do insist sometimes that I set my camera up and pass it to my husband or my eldest so every now and then I get a shot of me. Especially when we are on holidays as we have too many holidays that I have not got a photo of me on. It is hard putting ourselves into photos as we are so critical of ourselves BUT the truth is we are our children’s parents, our partners, partner and it is lovely to look back and have these moments captured. Photography sessions are worth so much more than the money you pay for them – they are priceless as the images that are captured are memories that can only be captured in that one moment. Jo, darrell and girls I really hope that you enjoyed your experience today ( apart from the Mosquitos ) and that you love your photos.

Here are just a few, I will be in contact when the rest are ready!

Little princesses! | Blue Mountains Photographer – Children

On the weekend I met up with Lyndahl, Paul and their girls! It was a beautiful bright afternoon and we had a lovely time running around with a little time spent smelling the flowers and kicking the ball! Last night Lyndahl and Paul had their ordering session where they were given the difficult task of choosing just a few of the photos. I really think that an ordering session makes the decisions much easier and it is a lot less over whelming for you as a client. I can give guidance and make recommendations and also with all my products here that you can touch and feel it is all much clearer for you. All sessions held from now include an personal viewing and ordering session ( unless of course you are interstate ) here are a few of the photos that Lyndahl and Paul ordered!

My new assistant {Blue Mountains Photographer – Family}

My daughter has seen $$$$$ lately. She wants magazines and canteen money, stationary and oh just about anything she sees! So she asked if she could work for me! i figure that it’s a great idea. She is in school all week and so if I work on the weekends at least we get to spend time together and she helps me out. She carries the bags and passes me bits and pieces. Sometime she just babysits the siblings at the shoot. the older brothers and sisters of the newborn I am photographing. This weekend she started setting up shots… It was so funny. She’d run up to me and tell me her great idea then run off to the clients and set them up in position. After she did this she then asked for a pay rise!!! Can you believe it? 10 years old 3 or 4 weeks on the job and already has the initiative to add jobs to her list of responsibilities and then ask for financial recognition! I laughed so hard! Didn’t give her the pay rise though… will think about it..

Here she is out on the field! In this first one she was being the model so I could get the settings right while the children got ready to get in position.

Louise-November-007

And here she is with her dads, cousins daughter? anyone know the way family trees work? I have no idea how to say what their relationship is.

Donna-and-Maddi-027

this is the shot she set up! The reason she feels she deserves a pay rise. LOL!!
Donna-and-Maddi-043

She is a wonderful little girl, a fantastic daughter and a great help out on location! So a big thank you to her for being so helpful to her mum! Love you Lou!

I have had a few entries today for the competition and am waiting on a few teens to get in touch with me, but still looking for more! And of course there are still 12 days to enter the competition and to get all your friends to enter! It is really exciting. My little assistant is going to draw the prize and is counting down the days til the 30th of November! So don’t forget to enter!!

Thanks for stopping by! I have a big weekend ahead – a wedding! I can’t wait. I am covering the full day – starting with hair and make – up and going through the reception and then following the Bride and Groom into the city for some special shots. Going to be an amazing day!!! Will hopefully have a few shots on the blog by Monday!

Hot! Hot! Saturday! { Blue mountains Photographer – Family }

It really was hot on Saturday and yet bushwalking through the bush in 40+ degrees was so much fun! These kids were so well behaved and so photogenic! They got an icy pole as reward ( well at least while I was there they were told they were LOL) Here are a few more from the falls at Lawson. If you are local and haven’t been they really are gorgeous! there is a walk you can do that takes you to 5 or 6 waterfalls and it is a round trip that takes about 1 hour, I have been told! I have just organised to attempt it with a friend in the Christmas Holidays!

Ok a few more photos of these gorgeous kiddies!!
Lawson045

Lawson038

I mentioned all the “accidental” falling into the water in my last post!!! LOL!!
Lawson021

I also mentioned the heat right!! not sure how many times this bottle was filled – hope no one got sick! It seemed to be a very clean part of the world so I am sure everyone is fine!
Lawson014

Where do children get their energy from??
Lawson027

This little one was just precious. She was always ready to be photographed!

Bush walking with 7 cousins in the Beautiful Blue Mountains { Blue Mountains Photographer – Children}

Today I have had a adventurous day! Along with the parents, I photographed the adventures of 7 cousins Bushwalking through the Blue Mountains.
We walked down tracks, over bridges, through the water and then they all stripped off to cool down after a hard modelling session! Well it wasn’t really hard – todays session is all about Lifestyle. The family chose a location that they like and I tagged along with my camera to record their adventure. The brief was a photo of all the grandchildren for Nan’s Christmas Present and with 7 beautiful Grandchildren I think Nan is in for a wonderful Christmas!

You may remember Master R from his newborn session. He is 3.5 months now! Still as gorgeous as he was 3.5 months ago!

Here are a few from today! First Master R and his mummy!

Lawson001

Here are all 7! ranging in age from 3.5 months to 15 years old!

Lawson002

This was such a gorgeous spot! They did not last long before they were all stripping off for a swim and with the heat today I don’t blame them! I did manage to get a few shots first. From this series there are quite a few out takes – with children accidentally ( on purpose) falling off the log into the water? Who can blame them??? If I was a child I think I’d want to be in the water too!

Lawson004

This is little miss K and her Mummy bushwalking!

Lawson005

And last for today is the Yabbie that was caught. Unfortunately not the only “wildlife” we met today! There were plenty of bee’s around and we tried so hard to keep away form them, but just as we were packing up to leave one of the little ones stood on one.

Lawson006

Thanks you so much Mel, Dominique, Dave and Laura for having me tag along today to capture your family! I hope Miss B is OK, and that all the children are showered and having an afternoon nap – ( that is where I am headed ). I will be in touch soon with your gallery!

To everyone else Thank you for stopping by, I hope you are keeping cool! Tomorrow I will have another sneak peak for you of a Mum and her teenage Daughter!
