Today I had a visit from Angela and David with their gorgeous little baby boy! We did some studio shots today, and tomorrow I have the pleasure of meeting their twins boys at their house to do a Family lifestyle shoot. Tomorrow is all about family but today was all little baby R! and how gorgeous is he…. he is so tiny at just over two weeks! and he gave me some really cute expressions! my lights made him pull the funniest of faces! I have a few to share today and will be back tomorrow with a few of the lifestyle session to share! Angela and Dave are hoping to put together an album! Hope you enjoy these Angela and David look forward to spending the day with you tomorrow!

Well that is the last of the August Winter special, Now we are moving into Spring! I expect that things will get a little busier around here. I am starting Spring with the wedding of Beth and Alex next weekend. I have a few sessions available in Spring and then of course there is my Christmas special that is available throughout the first three weekends in October! I did this shot a while back I think Emily may be getting close to one actually. Then as part of a competition I ran Amanda won this Art mount. It arrived yesterday so I grabbed a shot of it before I deliver!

I have almost finished all of Master L’s images! Oh there are so many! As strange as it may seem the light on cloudy days is just wonderful for taking photos. We were lucky to have a shoot on such a day, where the windows were large enough to let all that wonderful light in! As a result I have one huge gallery to show L’s mum and dad! Here are a few more to keep you going til we can get together and you can see the whole gallery – I’ll be in touch to organise a time with you soon!

one that we managed to get while the rain had a break! How fantastic is the tree in there back yard. In a few years I will be taking photos of Bigger Master L climbing in this tree!

I hope everyone had a fantastic week and of course the weekend is good to you all! We may have our first rain free weekend for a while. I hope so I have a shoot tomorrow that the rain has cancelled twice!

I was so lucky today that Master L’s Mummy and Daddy wanted to go ahead with this little one’s new born session. The weather in Sydney is extremely wet and today was no exception. I rang them this morning expecting them wanting to reschedule as they had requested an outdoor session as they live on a beautiful property. When I first got out there the rain was having a break so we took the opportunity to capture a few shots out doors. Then when the rain started up again we moved inside. Thankfully Little L is lucky enough to have a bright room!

We walked a little further down stream than I have before. By the way the stream I talk of is a dry creek bed at the moment – no water in it but you know that in wetter times there would be! As we came around a bend in the creek the view of the train bridge all lit up by the setting sun was beautiful! I knew it would make the most gorgeous back drop for these two lovely girls! And I was right. It is fabulous! Guess who’s kids are going to be dragged back down to this spot in the late afternoon in the next few weeks!!!!

And who does not love seeing a couple laugh?? I find most shoots I do I have to talk the parents into having a photo together. As parents we get so pre occupied of getting photos of our children, BUT it is so nice to have photos of us as the parents together. Truth is you take photos of your kids all the time and photos of one parent with the kids – If you looked through your photos I think there is a good chance that photos of the whole family and photos of just the parents are the ones you’ll have trouble finding. So I always try and talk the parents into having a photo together. Added bonus if the couple look happy in it!

On the weekend I met up with Lyndahl, Paul and their girls! It was a beautiful bright afternoon and we had a lovely time running around with a little time spent smelling the flowers and kicking the ball! Last night Lyndahl and Paul had their ordering session where they were given the difficult task of choosing just a few of the photos. I really think that an ordering session makes the decisions much easier and it is a lot less over whelming for you as a client. I can give guidance and make recommendations and also with all my products here that you can touch and feel it is all much clearer for you. All sessions held from now include an personal viewing and ordering session ( unless of course you are interstate ) here are a few of the photos that Lyndahl and Paul ordered!

Today I had a fun shoot with Lyndahl, Paul and their 2 gorgeous little girls. The aim was to update the family portraits now little Miss A has joined their family, they wanted relaxed, fun images to reflect their lifestyle. I find lots of families are worried about getting the family portraits updated as they think it is going to be a long stressful process. The secret to my style is to capture children as they are, who they are, So I always recommend that parents bring their childrens favourite toy and I always get the little ones to be my helpers. Today Little Miss C had to help me a few times to show her Daddy how to keep his eyes open and look into the camera! She got to check on my LCD screen to make sure I was capturing moments that she liked. When I took photos of her face pulling she came to make sure it looked right. Thankfully it did! Most people leave my sessions telling me how much fun it was – just as Lyndahl and Paul did today. I find that getting the children involved and letting them tell me the type of photos they would like gets them to co-operate wonderfully. Oh and I have 3 children so I know a quick session is a great session and once they have finished session is over! Much easier to work with children then the other way around. Miss C also told me what a fun time she had, so I promised her I’d put a photo up of her on her computer so here it is!

If anyone else would like a print of their images let me know this week my last order for the year is going in on Thursday! They make a great last minute Christmas present if you are like me and have not started shopping yet!

This was my last session for the year, I have the two competition winners shoots over the next two weeks and after that will be starting up work again on the 16.01.2010! The albums are gorgeous so although they do come in a box for storage , you might want them out on display. Hard to keep something so gorgeous packed up in a box. The easels come as a bonus with your album if you purchase my album or Digital package. If you want to order an album outside of the Album package you can purchase one of these easels for $25.

Oh This little miss 3 has such a huge personality. The 2nd time I have photographed her and she has been wonderful! She makes it very easy to capture her personality and in this series of photos how much she adores her Dad! You may remember her hiding under the fabric with her mum during the maternity shoot HERE – what a character!

This shoot was taken primarily with her up a tree! She was a blast! and very brave!

I have had such a great time processing these photos today! Yesterdays shot was fantastic and we have so many fabulous shots.
