Beth and Alex’s Engagement session | Blue Mountains Photographer
Today I spent the afternoon with Beth and Alex. We met at Alex’s parents beautiful home in Wentworth Falls, their gardens were just so pretty. Alex will be getting ready for his spring wedding here so I can only image it will be breathtaking. Today was all about having some fun and getting to know each other. The house made a fantastic backdrop and their props were pretty special! A convertible sports car, a big red motor bike, then the gardens and stone walls just helped pull it all together. Oh and their puppies! They had two puppies but the older one was scared of the camera, so I only got photos of their new 8 week old Border Collie!
Here are a few shots from todays session. I hope you like them Beth and Alex! I look forward to getting together soon to view the whole gallery.

Thanks so much for having me this afternoon! and for helping me out with my assignments! Speak soon.
Thanks to everyone else for dropping by!

New products | Blue Mountains Photographer
I spent today picking up and then drooling over my new products!!! I am introducing a variation to my albums and a new way to store loose prints!
So first up the coffee Table book. These are such a gorgeous product you will have to see them to appreciate the quality, but here is an idea!
They come in a Red or Black slip cover.

And then have a dust cover that is custom designed using photos from your session, this matches the cover of the book, but also has a inside sleeve that can have photos or a description.

These are the portrait box. Again the box is designed using images from your session, printed on silk. In the box you will receive a print of each image at 5×4 inches, with plenty of room for you to add more if you like. They hold up to 300 prints! I have done one for my family containing all the photos I took over the summer holidays! The other is for Rebecca and James and it holds 300 images from there wedding!

And here they are sitting on a shelf! Aren’t they gorgeous! I love the idea of the image box as actually holding the prints and flicking through them is just a wonderful way to view images! I did this with my nan last year when I went to visit her and watching the memories pop back into her head as she described who everyone was, was a memory I will hold forever. And once she told me who they were and a little story about them or what they were doing in the picture she’d pass them on to me to hold. I think we all have such a strong relationship with images and its a shame that we don’t print them out and pass them around like we used to! So that is my aim to provide you with some great images and a box that leaves space for you to add more of your own images to! To provide you memories to share with your family for years and years and one day be passed on to the next generation!

I’m going to be late agin with my self portrait but I will do one! Probably in class on Thursday again!
Thanks for stopping by if you are interested in holding a session so that we can organise one of these Fabulous new products please contact me!

2010 has commenced! | Blue Mountains Photographer
Well the kids have been in school for a few days and as I am also enrolled to study full time this year, I have spent this week getting everything organised and up to date with work prior to starting the course. The last thing I needed to complete before I started was James and Rebecca’s wedding. Today I have completed that job! So it is now time to order all the proofs and get them up to start designing their Wedding Album!
Here are two of my favourites from todays processing.

I have my first shoot of 2010 on Saturday – weather permitting So it is full steam ahead!!!! Due to the fact that I am studying full time this year I have scaled back to working part-time. This means that I will not be taking on as many sessions so please get in early to make your bookings. At this stage I have a few bookings available in March, then I am not available until May! All of those that have vouchers need to really think about when you want your session as this only leaves a few available bookings where these vouchers are valid! So please get in contact soon to avoid disappointment.
It is crazy that by the time we settle in to the new year we have already lost a month. Although to be honest I had the best month just relaxing and hanging out with my family and getting us ready for a super busy year ahead! I am now refreshed, and excited to get back into the swing of it all and all the new and fabulous things that 2010 has in store for us!
Contact me here if you would like further information about having a session with me.
Thanks for stopping by

Wedding day! | Blue mountains wedding photographer
I am still working my way through all of James and Rebecca’s wedding day photos! I am happy to say I am past the half way mark now and it wont be too long before they are home from there honeymoon and wanting to see them all. I thought I would share a few!
Finally Husband and Wife! The kiss!

These are a few of the photos we took after the ceremony – the formals of the Bride, Groom and the Bridal Party. We due to the heat on the day (around 45 degrees Celsius) we were taking one photo, then a drink, two photos then a quick run inside to cool down. It was incredibly hot and so I am pleased that they endured the heat so that Rebecca and James have these portraits.

I have Lyndahl and Paul coming up tonight to choose their photos. We did a session on Saturday that I have rushed through so they get their prints in time for Christmas. So I had better go and get set up for them, I might come back tomorrow and share their favourites! Their two little girls are gorgeous so I think they are going to have a few favs!

Rebecca and James Ceremony {blue mountains wedding photographer}
James and Rebecca are still away on their honeymoon but I know once they get back they will be checking the blog for more photos! So I figure I may as well post a few more. I have been working on the ceremony today, it is so wonderful looking back on theses photos, as of course for me I watched the whole ceremony through the viewfinder, so looking at them now gives me more of a felling of how all the guests saw these moments. I do remember the looks these two were giving each other as Rebecca moved closer up the aisle towards James and I am so pleased that I captured those moments, those looks, those feelings and that they will be able to look back over their album and remember the moment forever!

Today I have been working on the moments before Rebecca arrived. James and His mum wanted me to capture them lighting a special candle for the loved ones that could not be present in body at the wedding. So I left Rebecca earlier than I normally leave a Bride so that I had time to take the photos out at the Ceremony location – Oakville house near Windsor. James is also a bit of a beer drinker! It was the one shot he requested many times – had to be sure I knew he wanted a shot of him and his Groomsmen at the bar having a drink! I think he thought he’d be a little more relaxed waiting for his Bride to arrive! I ordered him a beer and once they had it in their hands the 3 of them all seemed to relax. Amazing what Beer + Man =!

This was such a touching and emotional moment, and due to the wind was also a long one. The Celebrant and I were tearing up watching James and his Mum light this candle and we both wondered if they noticed the music- It was very fitting but when looking at them I think they were both miles away in thought! I am sorry James that the candle did not stay lit throughout the ceremony but I am confident that the spirit of your family was with you and that they would be very proud of you!

I have a special shoot tomorrow – I am so looking forward to this one! I am doing family Portraits for Carolyn my web designer and friend! Carolyn runs Starlight Creations – she is very cleaver – my blog and web site are all her work, A few years ago Carolyn was in a terrible accident that has left her in a wheel chair. She is the most determined person that I know. She has aims to be walking by the end of this year and I believe she will be! Her husband tells me that within days of coming out of a coma she had him bring her laptop in to the hospital where she continued to work! We have chosen a location that has easy flat access yet still a bush and lagoon back drop. I am taking a few props for them to sit on and they are bringing a bubble machine as their 3 year old LOVES bubbles!! So I will be back tomorrow with a little sneak peak for them!
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

The bride getting ready! { Blue Mountains/sydney wedding photographer}
A Bride puts lots of effort into looking her best on her wedding day, a few Champagnes and in our case this weekend a lot of water and a good air conditioner! I arrived at Rebecca’s house at 11am it was already well over 30 Degrees, they had their glasses filled with Champagne and all the fans and A/C going! Rebecca was getting her hair done, the flower girl and Paige boy were quietly watching nickelodeon, the Bridesmaids were doing what ever they could to avoid getting ready. It really was hot and sticky! So I took the dress and shoes outside to find somewhere pretty to hang the dress.
We got back inside in time to capture Rebecca being dressed and then dressing the little ones. I have already mentioned how perfectly behaved these two were on the day but I thought it was fair to mention it again! Rebecca was very lucky to have such a gorgeous Niece and Nephew who took their positions very seriously on the day! They looked gorgeous!
Right so a few photos!
Little miss S thought she was a princess! and she definitely looked the part. She was so excited to get her dress on and the jewellery!

Rebecca laughed so much on the morning she was so relaxed and excited! I love this one.

It wasn’t long before I realised where Rebecca learnt to laugh!!! Her Brother laughs!!

Her Mum laughs!

an her Bridesmaids were caught laughing too!!! Over all it was a really happy exciting morning!

One last photo for today! Getting the little paige boy ready! the finishing touched. He was so proud of himself in his vest, tie and jacket! Too adorable!

Thanks for stopping by!

The details! {Blue Mountains / Sydney wedding photographer}
A wedding day takes so long to prepare for, and it is the details that take up all that time and sometimes they are forgotten – in years to come it may be hard to remember the perfume you wore, the shoes, the tiara the flower girl wore, the bouquet, the ribbon that tied the bouquet? There are so many details before the ceremony starts and we start talking about the table settings and the cake!
So today I thought I would post a few of the details!

Just a quick reminder that there is less than a week until my subscribers draw! So if you want to be in with a chance don’t forget to subscribe to the blog! ( just over to the right you will notice a spot to enter your email address – thats all you need to do to subscribe! Oh and tell all your friends as there are 2 prizes – the winner and the person who referred the winner!! Thanks for stopping by!

James and Rebecca! { Blue Mountains/Sydney Wedding photographer}
What a day! it was long, it was hot but it was their day and nothing was going to stop them from enjoying it. They had smiles from the minute they saw each other in the aisle until we left them in the city at 11pm. I hope they are resting today – I will be as soon as I publish this post.
There are a few photos to share today the rest will take a little while to sift through and process but I have selected a few to show today as the Bride is so excited and can’t wait!
The day started at her house with the bridesmaids and her family, including Rebecca’s adorable Niece and Nephew, who were amazing all day!

Then I went out to the venue to meet James for a quick beer with his Groomsmen before Rebecca arrived

What a cool cake.

This shot just sums up the day for me! Rebecca and her huge smile~ she wore it all day as did James. Here during their wedding ceremony the celebrant made reference to them supporting opposite football teams – you may remember in their Engagement session we did a few shots of them in there jerseys?

Here is one of the last shots taken last night. After the ceremony we headed down to town as this is where James proposed.

Thank you so much for having Julie and I yesterday, I can’t wait to have your full gallery ready! Relax and get ready for that Hawaiian Holiday!!!

The day before the wedding! { Blue Mountains Photographer – Engagements}
Tomorrow I am photographing the wedding of Rebecca and James. I got a message from Rebecca yesterday saying they have an extreme heat plan in place – thank goodness. It is meant to be a garden ceremony at 3pm so it may be an indoor ceremony in what I am hoping is an Air conditioned venue instead!
Here is a photo of the couple at their E-session I did a few months ago, On Monday I will be back with a photo of them as a married couple!!!
Hope you are relaxing today guys! Can’t wait to see you tomorrow. All the batteries are charged – I am even going to charge my own with a nana nap this afternoon!!!

Hope everyone is keeping cool! Thanks for dropping in!
